“Back in march I built the legendary Ford Gt40 Mk-II! The car famous for winning the 1966 24hrs of Le Mans. And now, 4 months later I have finally built its main rival for that year. The Ferrari 330 P3! Like my Ford Gt40 Moc, this model comes with a custom sticker sheet provided by The Brickstickershop.
The model has a v12 engine in the back and comes with a brick built display plack that matches the one  that comes with my lego Gt40. So these 2 look great together on display.

This version of the 330 is based off the one that was used in the movie “Le Mans 66”. When designing my 330 I realized that this version of the 330 P3 looks a little different from the actual 330 P3. The car in the movie is more similar to the Ferrari 330 P4 that was driven in 1967. I prefer the look of the p4 over the p3 Which is why I decided to base my 330 off of the car in the movie.

In 1966, Ferrari raced in Le Mans with 3 cars numbered 21 to 23. I decided to replicate the 21 car driven by Lorenzo Bandini as car had the most screen time in the movie and was depicted as the main rival of Ken Myles.
Hope you will enjoy building this Ferrari 330 P3. You won’t have to worry about the model falling apart. It’s a solid model with sturdy connections. The only part you may want to handle with caution is the nose. Though even that bit is pretty sturdy. Sadly the model was too low to make a minifig fit in it.
