“Time to kick the new year of on a high note! My first moc for 2023 is the Porsche 917K! And I have to admit, it turned out pretty darn amazing. As of now I am of the opinion that this is my second best model to date. The model has pretty much all the major details brick built, however it wouldn’t be complete without an awesome livery. Thank you very much Brickstickershop for once again producing an amazing sticker sheet for one of my models. The stickersheet for this model will be available at their website in short time.

I decided to go for the Gulf 917k with number 20 as this is the car that Steve McQueen drove in the 1971 movie named after the famous Le Mans race.
The model is very flat. Even though its built on a speed champion base, fitting a minifigure is a bit of a tight fit with the cockpit piece not closing of perfectly once a minifig is sitting in the car.”   – By the author
