After exactly 50 years of absence, the staggering horse from Maranello returns to the top tier of endurance racing: 2023 marks the debut of the Ferrari 499P, Ferrari’s Hypercar in search for another victory. The LMH is powered by a V6 twin turbo hybrid engine. The car also is an ode to the history and legac of Ferrari, with its retro yellow striping to cars used in the 60s and 70s, while keeping intact Ferrari’s modern design language with the tail- and headlight ledbars, as seen on the SP3 Daytona. The #51 also claimed Ferrari’s first victory since 1965, and is now next to the GR010 the second Hypercar to win Le Mans.

The model
The 499P was a difficult car to build, from the rear taillight, to the thin sides, to the knife-like nose. All used some interesting techniques. Where the tail is a rather simple solution, with a single tile supported with clips, the entire sides are constructed upside down! The build is full of novelties and may look simple on the outside, but I can guarantee it is on the high spectrum of build experience, rivalling Group-c models of mine.

Stickers
The car has a simple livery, but due to available parts and limitations, this is one of the largest sheets, with 52 stickers. Most of this is due to the fact of segmenting on parts that are not availalbe in larger sizes (sides), or multiple parts aligning (wing endplates). With the update, some additional stickers were added and/or altered, and a driver minifig is now also included! All stickers are pre-cut and numbered.
