The Car / character

Ratchet made its live action debut in the 2007 Transformers movie and featured as a modified Hummer H2 Resque vehicle. Ratchet is the medical officer of the Autobots, and a good comrad of Optimus. Although the character is not a mainline one like Bumblebee or Optimus Prime, it is still one of my favourite characters due to his unique colour scheme and cool vehicle mode.

The model

This is my largest car-related lego model, with 730 (728) pieces building the large Hummer. Although some parts of it might look simple, engineering it surely was not. The front of the car is the regular 8 stud wide width, but the rear is built offset at 9 studs, making it quite complex. The chassis is split in half between 8 and 9 stud and connected in the middle via balljoints. I made sure the whole car is as sturdy as it can be, and is overall a very durable model.
And before anyone asks: NO, the model does not transform. It is merely a car model.
The main colour for this build is lime, the actual colour lays something inbetween olive, vibrant yellow and lime, with lime being the closest match.

Stickers
The majority of the details are captured using Lego bricks, but some had to be done with stickers, like the signal stripe and lettering. A total of 16 stickers is used to complete the Fire Department truck. All stickers are precut and numbered and of the usual quality from Brickstickershop.
