After assembling the B1, you’ll find some extra parts. Here’s their purpose:
19729 is a hologram for hand
Extra tan 32828 is for the second thumb, if you want to use B1 with a hologram in hand, or with a blaster attached to a backpack. It’s a replacement for tan 61252
Extra tan 24201 is for displaying without a backpack. It’s shown after step 180 in the instruction
Some 44874 elements have loose connections with plates. It depends on the plastic quality.
LEGO had experiments with more eco-friendly plastic, which were stopped in 2023 and claimed unsuccessful.
For customers, it results in different behavior of the same elements. 44874 is one of them.
If you haven’t ordered parts yet, please try to buy an older 44874 with a strong connection. BrickLink sellers can help with that.
The check is to attach plates or bricks to the element.
If you received parts, and 44874 has a loose connection, please place 44874 and 18654 in between 35480 in steps 81-83 (see attached picture). This connection is weaker than normal 44874 and 18654, but stronger than loose 44874
NB
Thumb-wrist connection is not very stable, but it holds the blaster or hologram well.
I prefer a thin wrist over a hard connection.
If you prefer a harder connection, please replace the light bluish-gray 42446 with tan 36841
In this case, you will need to add 2x tan 36841 to the parts order
