“Its time for Suki’s Honda S2000 from 2 Fast 2 Furious. One of my most requested models to date. This model really was one hell of a challenge to design. Its built using dark pink bricks, which isn’t the most versatile colour. Though I was surprised by how little of the build I had to compromise because of parts availability.
Another big challenge was the front. The unique shape of the headlights didn’t lend itself ideally to a brick built replica. But thanks to the new 2×2 curved wedge slope I managed to come up with something fresh and new. Damn, those pieces are useful.Another dilemma I had was the arches. Originally I wanted to design the car in magenta because that color has fender pieces. But that color wouldn’t be accurate enough to the real deal. So I switched to dark pink and made stickers that fit perfectly over the arches. I guess since lego now does printed arches, I can get away with these as well.
Stickers for this model are once again provided by the Brickstickershop. Designing these stickers was quite a challenge. Luckily I was able to download a file that contained most of the artwork. Even though building in dark pink came with a few restrictions, the model is still quite sturdy and fits 2 minifigs. Oh and speaking of figs, this model comes with parts to build up your own Suki minifigure. And stickers for the torso are included in the stickersheet.
