“Boba Fett’s iconic bounty hunting ship, originally from The Empire Strikes Back and now of course revived for The Mandalorian and Book of Boba Fett.
Slave 1: 157 pieces, 12cm tall, approximately £16 to build (2x dark green round corner macaroni pieces (part 85080) are now very rare, buy used to keep the cost low)
Stand: 27 pieces, approx £2 to build
Delta-7: 24 pieces, approx £3 to build
Boba Fett’s starship (urgh, Disney) is surprisingly large, before doing some research I hadn’t appreciated that it’s nearly as tall as the Falcon is long. I’ve built her with rotating wings so she can be posed flat or upright on the stand. She’s a great looking ship when positioned towering over another at the same scale.
The dark green 2×2 round corner macaroni pieces (part 85080) still prove to be rare and difficult to replace on this build. They can be bought used for about £0.50 each (last checked summer 2022), the inventory on this page shows the new price of around £4 each so I would suggest buying used! I hope that Lego will make this part available again, or something similar as I’ve struggled to find an alternative, but hopefully the rarity doesn’t hold any of you back 🙂

Update: I’ve added a zip file including the Studio model (for parts list) and set of instructions for a Jango Fett recolour, including Obiwan’s Delta 7 Jedi Starfighter. As with Boba’s Slave 1 please ensure you buy used dark green 2×2 macaroni pieces as new parts are very rare and incredibly expensive.
Update 2: Here’s the Tensegrity stand, it uses string rather than Lego parts but it’s a pleasing way to display a ship! The stand parts list and instructions are in a seperate zip file, you will also have to use some string. I hope my instructions are clear enough but you are going to need a bit of skill and patience to correctly arrange the string.
Update (August 2022): Updated the instructions and parts for the Delta-7 in Jango’s Slave 1. I also checked the availability of the macaroni pieces (85080), still rare unfortunately but at £0.50 each for used pieces not too expensive! I’ll update the instructions in the future if a cheaper alternative become available.” – By the author
