“Ferrari 288 GTO. This classic Ferrari model debuted in 1984 at Geneva Motor Show and was produced in number of only 277 until 1987. With its four square driving lights under the nose it is one of the most characteristic supercars of the 80’s.

This is an 8 studs wide Speed Champions style 359 pieces detailed and solid build model. There are some advanced, yet easy to follow building techniques used.The finished model fits one minifigure with a helmet or short hair – on driver’s seat (with left hand raised) or in the middle. In order to fit a minifigure you would have to replace the steering wheel for instance with a round 1×1 tile. I’ve used bigger steering wheel (part 16091) than those used in all Speed Champions sets, because it is more appropriate in this scale.

You may use any LEGO set sticker sheet to cut out black stripes and apply them on the windscreen to make the model look more accurate. You would probably also like to apply Ferrari emblem sticker from any suitable Ferrari set – possibly 75890 or 76896 (sticker sheet not included in the parts list).
