Of this model there exist two variants: the GT (with small window behind the cockpit and a retractable spoiler) and the SuperSport (or SS, Micheal Schumacher owned a yellow one, the most famous version with the 5 round engine intakes). Behind the drivers seat sits a mighty V12 quad turbo engine, beatifully arranged in the mid engine bay. While the GT has a retractable spoiler and BBS dish rims, the SS version is equipped with a larger fixed rear wing and sportier 7 spoke rims. The lego model
When you build the lego model, it might seem odd that the engine is not in the centre, but if you look closely to the photo above, you will notice the engine has a displacement to the left, which is captured in the lego model as well. It is a fine detail but I wanted to capture it. With the parts included you can build both the SS and GT version (not simultaneously) and as a small bonus you can build a raised wing for the GT version when driving at high speeds (parts also included). You can fit 2 minifigures alongside in the retro cockpit, featuring an all light grey coating with bucket seats. You can reveal the detailed engine by removing the engine cover which is easy to do. Below I will share more photos of the model, since there are a lot of angles and things to see. Additionally you can build the model in 7 colours: Blue, yellow, red, white, light bluish grey, dark bluish grey and black. Unfortunately it was decided to only produce stickers for blue and yellow body colours, but it is possible to use the stickers anyway (logo & rims) and I even designed a custom cockpit variant so you don’t need the sticker for the other colours. I changed some small parts of the model, being the front bonnet section (everything between the bugatti logo and the windscreen. The change allows for single-piece headlights (prior it used 2 1×1 cheeseslopes) and a smoother nose section. The other change is the lower bumper, making the edges thinner and sharper. The changes are already adjusted in the instructions and parts list.
The rear of my model might share resemblance to Abfab74‘s. I do however want to denote that both models have been designed completely seperately from each other.” – By the author
